Today I get to tell you a story, our story. The story of how Stride was started and why we do what we do. As with all good stories, we’re going to start at the beginning. Our journey began in a humble quilting store, where the seeds of inspiration were planted by a passionate store owner—our founder's mother. Growing up in this environment, our founder learned the intricacies of running a small business, soaking up the lessons from watching his mom navigate the challenges and joys of the quilting industry.
A Personal Journey
After college, our founder took on the role of managing a quilting store and retreat center in northern Utah. It was here that he and his wife also started their own business, laser cutting quilt applique kits. This experience highlighted the need for a comprehensive software solution tailored to the unique demands of small retail businesses. However, finding a software that could do what was needed was a true challenge. Frustrated by the lack of an all-encompassing software to manage operations effectively, he decided to create his own solution.
